Welcome to ‘Pots and Plots’ a blog about good books and terrible gardening.
I’ve been reviewing books for a very long time now (over ten years) starting first out on my own before moving onto GeekDad. Times change and after a couple of false starts, I’m back on my own writing about the books I love.
We’re just coming into the spring here, so hopefully I can get a few shots of books and plants to liven the place up. I’m terrible at taking photos so that may not work as well as I hope!
What do I like to read?
I read most things to be honest, but I have a strong focus on science fiction and fantasy novels. I hope to move back towards literary fiction as I begin to write for myself again. I have 3 boys, who are getting quite old now, but I review a smattering of children’s books too.
I read a mixture of books I’ve purchased and books I’ve been sent to review. I only read physical books, and it may well be that the review copies dry up now I’ve stepped away from the larger follower numbers of GeekDad. Time will tell.
What’s Next?
I’m very much making this up as I go along but on the to be reviewed pile I have a couple of books I’ve finished. All Better Now by Neal Shusterman and Dissolution by Nicholas Binge. Both are excellent books to start a new venture with.
